"Legal
entities", typically corporations, governments and similar, are not humans. Legal entities are created by humans to serve
the purposes of humans. American law recognizes the intended human
purposes of entities by allowing certain human privileges to be
exercised by non-muman entities.
Entities have many forms and functions according the the will of their
creators. Entities are intrinsically incapable of actions which help or
harm. Any benefit or malice exercised by entities are expressed by
humans. Humans, engaged in actions admirable or dispicable, are exempt
from personal accountability if performed under the aegis of their
cre4ated entity. The social quality of entities for benefit or harm is
derived from the conduct of the humans in collaboration as the entity.
It can be suggested that the desirability of an entity should be viewed
through the actions of the humans claiming their entity's immunity.
A human member of an entity, acting as the entity is bound by duty and loyalty only by the rules of the entity.
"Rawlins Civics 101 - Conversations" explores the interplay between the people of Rawlins and the government entities operating in our community. "Conversations" encourages community conversations with working members of the City and vice versa.
Discussions by people who work with or represent institutions are
necesarily constrained by their institutional policies and contracts. Their conversations are further tempered by the
practical realities of personal job, career and status considerations.
The people of our community have few similar restrictions. Our personal comments and opinions are essentially unconstrained.
The
entity and human communities are intertwined and mutually dependent,
but their seperate cultural processes, purposes and goals often
conflict.
Our KRAW-LP "Let's Talk Rawlins" conversations,
broadcast locally and on our global Internet Radio, may help resolve common misunderstandings.
In the future, Community Call-In capability can suppliment KRAW-LP live, unedited broadcast of City Council meetings to complete the communications circle with mutual benefit.
You and I, the people of our community, have voices.
KRAW-LP community
radio is a tool to exercise and share those voices, interests and
opinions.
