Why Start a Radio Station? If experience demonstrates that our individual voices are ignored or not respected, what alternatives remain at our disposal? Perhaps our community can resolve this problem, if we talk with each other.

Our Community needs a voice that can be effective and wield real influence. The only authoritative voice for our community rises from our common voices expressing our opinions in open, public conversation. Our individual voices are amplified by our conversations.

What Have We Done to Get Started? The general response of what other people thought might be practical was to create an "open forum" community talk radio station. Encouraged by that advice, Rose Cain and Henry Nicolle cooperated to establish Let's Talk Rawlins, Inc. and seek FCC approval for Let's Talk Rawlins Community Radio KRAW 97.9FM (Channel 250)

Let's Talk Rawlins! 97.9 KRAW-LP is our new non-profit Rawlins Community FM broadcast radio station.
www.letstalkrawlins.com is our for-profit Internet radio station, a mirror of the broadcast station.

The station start-up has been organized and funded. KRAW-LP depends upon community participation for the station to learn, develop and thrive.

The station provides the ability and means.
Content and purpose come from community interests and participants: News, Gossip, Music, Opinion . . . everything - everything!

The Future of Community Radio in Rawlins? 2024 is our mutual community learning and organization period.
