Community Radio offers a tool for distributing opinion, information and
education directly between the people of Rawlins.
We have heard many people tell us they need permission to talk
independently and even so, they fear retaliation by their employer for
frank or ill-chosen comments.
Artificial entities (governments, institutions, clubs, etc.) are not
"people" but do consist of people acting in agent capacities which
affect the community and influence the activities of our community.
It is important, (in our opinion at Let's
Talk Rawlins!),
that the people and the entities of our community, respectively,
recognize and understand their corresponding relationships within our
community.
An entity is incapable of speech, therefore, the station offers their
agents qualified access to directly address the community and to engage
in direct conversation with members of our community.
IMPORTANT!
If you assign a representative/spokesperson/agent to speak for your
organization, the station presumes that you have established the
boundaries of that conversation, controlled by your spokesperson. The
station considers any official organization presentation as
fundamentally "promotional"
However, for the community call-in purposes, we have no such boundaries
on voluntary individual content.
If a member of the community is speaking and if the conversation turns
to include his or her employer, the organization's rules may apply for
that portion of the speaker's conversation.
The station asks that your organization provide conversation guidelines
to advise your employee of impermissible on-air and recorded comments.

KRAW-LP 97.9 FM is a nonprofit Low Power FM Radio Station in
association with www.letstalkrawlins.com, a related, for profit,
Internet Radio Station and support element.
