Radio stations need people.
The people of Rawlins are KRAW-LP FM Broadcast radio and KRAW-LP Internet Radio.
We are awaiting people from the community to take up the many station
activities necessary
to create a true community-operated station.
People create content, music playlists, Podcasts, host and many other activities as individuals are inspired.
The bulk of radio work is easy. Most people have experience from ordinary daily activities.
We can adapt our experience to make things happen to run the radio station.
Here are some examples:
Station Manager:
We expect to install a part-time Lead Station Manager with at least three Associate Station Managers.
Station Managers assure legal and regulatory mandates are met and maintained in current status.
These duties are not complicated, nor are there many of them.
Compliance activities require little time, but they do require
diligence and timeliness.
Program Managers, Schedulers and Coordinators:
Broadcast content has many formats, content types and durations.
These need to be sorted out, arranged by relevance in the daily play
schedule and with reference to other broadcast and Internet activities.
Producers, Editors and Programmers:
Producers, Editors and Programmers work in the background, off-air, to create broadcast content.
They work with Interviewers, Hosts, Podcasters, Music Makers, Event and
Remote Operators, Advertisers and many other content resources and
providers.
On-Air Hosts, Podcasters, Interviewers, reporters and other On-Air actors:
These people are the primary paths for bringing the thoughts, issues,
concerns, comments, ideas and activities of our community to the radio
and Internet audiences.
What these people do establishes the station''s relevance in the listening community. |
